Free the Darkness is the best book I’ve read in this genre in a looong time. I’m afraid to try the second one as I don’t see how it can live up to the first

Thank you so much for writing these books. As a young teenager my quest to find a good clean fiction book that both intrigued, enlightened, and encouraged me was futile until I discovered yours. After three years of devoted reading, I have finally been gifted all four books and am so excited to be able to cross-reference at last πŸ™‚
This is my favorite modern series. Clean and yet dark, witty and deep, funny and enlightening, these books reflect a lot of my own personal longings. Many times my normal stoic reader persona has been broken and I double over laughing, and the next minute I’m sitting back in deep contemplation. The research and depth in these books are astonishing and have greatly influenced me.
I’m an aspiring writer myself and I love how you took a seemingly overpowered character and made him someone I could relate to and rely on, especially when my life is so insane. Curling up with one of your books has made my day many times πŸ™‚
I can never thank you enough. Currently I’m trying to get my best friend (‘trying’ defined as constantly spamming her over how amazing Dark Tiding’s blade is and my favorite scenes in the book and begging her to read over and over) to read them too. I’m really disappointed there isn’t a greater fanbase for your work.
You’ve inspired me to try writing different styles and do different things outside of my norm. I’m super excited for book five especially because I know it’ll have to do with Wesson, who I adore…then again I love Kai too. How to choose? πŸ˜›
Thank you so much for your work. I love your books and have reread them so many times. I know I’m just a random teenager in a crazy world right now, but I just want to express my gratitude for writing such a stunning series. When life is so insane and many times I can’t take it anymore especially in these days, running to Rezkin makes my day. Thank you <3

Thank you for writing to me. I appreciate your kind insight, and I’m honored that my writing has had a positive effect in your life. I hope your friend enjoys the books just as much so you two can talk about them night and day 😜. Best of luck, and good reading!

You still don’t deliver the t-shirts to Australia? I tried when they first came out and tried again the other day. Am I doing something wrong?

I like most people commenting on this site for one reason or another. I was enthralled in the book series and keep listening to all 4 books at my leisure. I am concerned however that after 4 books and it being a very epic series thus far the next book or books will be Sht. like the ending of the TV series GAME OF THRONES.. Just like George R.R. Martin or whatever the heck his name is, had created an epic series, and then when it comes down to either finishing the series or adding more on to the series, the author in turn starts creating a different story and book series altogether so when it comes time for the original series of books that the author has already written, the author SHTs on his own series and ends it ever sooo poorly.. Prime example is when the 7th season came on for HBO for GAME OF THRONES and people had been waiting a few years for the final books, the author George Martin tells his fans to go screw themselves and doesn’t finish the book series until after the final season on HBO was released and it was masssive major dissppointment to the entire series. I will never ever buy, read or even refer the author George Martin who wrote the GAME OF THRONE series..

I really do hope you the author Kel Kade can make the journey either longer or at least end it with an even better finale than previous authors have done. I am looking forward to the next book if there will be a next book while I am still alive but I wanted to say extremely good job brother.

So sorry for the wait for the next book, but I am working diligently to deliver. I’m working on both series concurrently. KDT will be an ongoing series, though, with several more books in the main arc as well as a few side-tales. I’ll not be cutting it short or doing it a disservice. I’d rather take a little longer to release the next book than deliver a sub-par story prematurely. I hope you continue to enjoy both series.

Good men want only the power to make things right. Great men seek to make things right and gather the power to do so. Great leaders find those who are worthy of wielding power and set them to the task of making things right. Kel Kade, Free the Darkness
