Announcements and Book Tour! Come see me in a city near you!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update. (I’m a little more active on Twitter and occasionally on Facebook.)

Everyone is excited about the next King’s Dark Tidings book, I know, and I’m working on it. I promise! KDT will continue. In the meantime, I have several announcements including a new book release and public appearances. 🎉

NOVEMBER RELEASE

My new book Fate of the Fallen, published by Tor Books, will be released on November 5th. That’s less than 10 days away! It is currently available for pre-order in print, e-book, and audiobook!

Fate of the Fallen enjoyed an early release as October’s book of the month by the Book of the Month Club (BOTM).

It’s a grande new world with fresh characters, plenty of twists, a wild magic system, absurd gods, horrible monsters, and the undead! 🧟‍♀️ 😱

If you like KDT, please check out this exciting story. I think you’ll enjoy it, and the success of this book depends on you! I appreciate your support, readership, and patience in allowing me this chance to take a break and explore something new.

READ the first four chapters here!
LISTEN to an excerpt from the audiobook here!

The audiobook is narrated by the phenomenal Nick Podehl, who you may know from his performances of my King’s Dark Tidings series and Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss.

PUBLIC APPEARANCES

I’m going on book tour! I’ll be visiting several cities in November with Jenn Lyons, author of The Ruin of Kings and The Name of All Things. We’ll be appearing for readings, conversations, Q&A, and book signings, so please come see us!

I have listened to KDT more times than I can count on 2 hands since I found it 2 years ago on audible. I have earned many a badge while listening to them and I honestly can’t wait for the 5th book. I love them so much but it’s a practice in pain tolerance to read them at this point knowing what happens in book 4 and not knowing if one of my favorite characters will live and how that will shape him and also what will happen to our lovely Rez. I need to know who these new players are. More side quests to be done, resources to be gathered and so much more information to be discovered. There is so much we don’t know and I would love to know when the next book will come. Even if it’s 3 or 5 years in the future. The knowing will make the wait a bit more bearable. In any case, thank you for birthing my favorite book series of all time.

Hi, I have read the KDT twice in the hopes that the 5th book would be out. I’m waiting on pins and needles. I love how the characters and story has evolved and I can’t wait for the story to continue.
