December Update 2016

December Update 2016

I’m sorry that I will be unable to release Book 3 this month. I think most of you agree that you would prefer a good book rather than one that is quickly written. Book 3 is going to be a bit longer than expected, but I think few will complain. Hopefully, you will find it to be just as exciting and intriguing as the first two.

(If you commence cabbage throwing, please toss in a bit of corned beef and soda bread so I can make a meal of it.)

Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: How soon will the audiobook be released after the ebook?

Answer: I try to release the ebook as soon as it is ready. This means that I will send it to the  audiobook publisher (Podium Publishing) for recording at the same time, and hopefully it will meet with their scheduling. I expect the audiobook will be released within a few months of the ebook.

Question: When will the books be available in print?

Answer: I have been unsatisfied with the self-publishing options that I have researched to date. I am still considering the best options to bring the series to print, including traditional publishing.

how’s that December release date going? well you can’t take any longer than Martin at least. a rough estimate for release would be cool so I can plan on taking time off work to read book 3.

Please don’t pull a Rothfus! I’m sure he wants to write a third book of such perfection that he’ll never get around to finishing his trilogy. I would rather read a good book rather than wait forever.

I feel like Rothfuss may have written himself into a corner and Stone Door can’t work without some Deus Ex Machina. Which could be why it’s taking so long and not living up to his expectations…

Just my speculation from the peanut gallery where I’ve rarely written a good paragraph let alone anything else.

Since I only listened to it on audio book I’m not sure of the spelling, but I’ve been trying to find a picture of what ‘sukarai ‘ look like. That is the one weapon I did not get a good mental picture for. Some kind of spinning blade weapon.

    /throws cabbages.
Did that help with book 3 release?

Loved book 1 and 2!! Like everyone else I am looking forward to book 3. But I am of the opinion that it’s better to wait a little longer and get your best work again!

Will book 3 be the final chapter of a trilogy or does the story continue after book 3?

There will definitely be more than 3 books. I’m glad you like the series. Thanks for your patience.

I have been mourning that detail, as well.

And I would rather wait on pins and needles for an awesome book than have him serve up a less than stellar one. This little wait will only make savouring the next one that much sweeter. 😍

I’m glad you like the books. I was actually upset by that event as well. Unfortunately, I can’t control everything. These things sometimes happen. It’s life.

I just finished the series and I say it is without equal that I have read. Well, listened. Yes, Nick’s performance on Audible is outstanding. Just before this series I read… listened, to Brian Stavely’s Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne. This book was So much better to me. And I thought Brian’s was the greatest. I am blown away at how you cater to what I want to see in a world. Thank you Kel Kade, you inspire me to write something others might enjoy so much.
