15 Feb February 2017 Update
❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
In honor of this love-sharing day, I thought I might come out of my cave to give you guys a much-requested update. Some of you ask, “Kel, have you even started the book?” Yes, yes, I have. I’ve written over 400 pages of KDT goodness (or darkness—however you want to look at it). But, it’s not finished, and I prefer not to guess at a release date because you will undoubtedly be upset if I don’t meet it. Honestly, I work better when I don’t feel the pressure of an impending due date.
I am often asked which other books I like that are like KDT. In lieu of releasing Book 3, I have prepared a list of fantasy books by other authors that you might enjoy. You can find this list under the new “Suggested Reading” tab on my website. The list is far from complete, but I could probably go on for days. (Disclaimer: For most of these, I’ve fallen behind in the series and haven’t read all the books. I’ve been busy. 😎)
Please feel free to comment and add your favorites to the list!
(Remember to mark posts containing spoilers with **SPOILER** before the rest of the comment.)

Posted at 03:03h, 22 FebruaryI Really Hope you keep this amazing series available through kindle unlimited. It’s the only way I can afford to read these great books.

Posted at 17:57h, 20 FebruaryKel, what were the page lengths of the first two books? I am curious to know how book three at 400 pages stacks up. Kindles with custom font sizes makes knowing a books page count difficult to decipher.

Posted at 00:25h, 20 FebruaryWhatever people say, take as much time as you want. This is your show. There might be some unpleasant or ungrateful comments accusing you of doing this or that. Whatever it may be, and even if you are doing exactly what some of the readers accuse you of doing (which I don’t believe one minute) remember you don’t really owe us fan anything in the end. We can appreciate, make comments, criticize, but we all know it is up to you when all said and done.
You won’t lose any people with even more delays are needed. People go on with their lives, and once they get that notification via twitter or whatever way you choose to announce the new book, we will all come back, there is no doubt about it.
We can await your novels with eagerness, and our fandom of your novels sometimes make us think that you owe us thus we make unreasonable demands, but again that is a fallacy. I think you should take the unpleasantness with flattery, it means people are really really into your novel.
I just wanted to say that b/c I seen some self published writers fall into that trap. There is a lot of pressure b/c today’s writers are as connected to their fans as ever and it may be tempting to give in to the fans and many times that leads to bad decisions with their novels.

Posted at 12:23h, 20 FebruaryAs true as all that is I bet most wouldn’t mind just a little more news now and then as to how the next book is coming along, a tiny sneak peak at something, something you’ve read that was awesome (kinda like this post) or hell maybe just a good line or two from the next book to help shelter us 🙂
Just a bit of news a little more regularly (maybe every week or fortnight) would go a long ways to keeping up the pace!

Posted at 15:11h, 18 FebruaryI want to say that I have thoroughly fallen in love with this series and can’t wait for book number 3. Like previously mentioned will the audio come out with the hard back? I ask this as being dyslexia I have much trouble reading your books and have fallen in love with the audio books. Just another groups of your fans looking forward to KDT book 3

Posted at 22:48h, 17 FebruaryTake your time… Of course we are all impatient to read it, but creating a good book is what we all want above all.
For those who are waiting… It can help pass the time with a bunch of other eager readers over on Goodreads (it’s an Amazon-related site, free, and you can sign on with your Amazon acct). We’ve got some interesting King’s Dark Tiding discussions going on. Please do jump on in!

And if an amateur copy-editing reader is wanted, I’d be happy to volunteer. I’ve been almost studying the first book (need to do a close re-read of Book 2 still), for the KDT Discussion Group… which has been a lot of fun.

Posted at 22:29h, 17 FebruaryKel! Don’t rush it please! Take your time with it because the wait will be well worth it! I’ve never read any of your books and just saw book one on audible. Since I had free credits, I thought I’d take a chance! You didn’t disappoint! I’m definitely excited for number 3 to come out!
