15 Feb February 2017 Update
❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️
In honor of this love-sharing day, I thought I might come out of my cave to give you guys a much-requested update. Some of you ask, “Kel, have you even started the book?” Yes, yes, I have. I’ve written over 400 pages of KDT goodness (or darkness—however you want to look at it). But, it’s not finished, and I prefer not to guess at a release date because you will undoubtedly be upset if I don’t meet it. Honestly, I work better when I don’t feel the pressure of an impending due date.
I am often asked which other books I like that are like KDT. In lieu of releasing Book 3, I have prepared a list of fantasy books by other authors that you might enjoy. You can find this list under the new “Suggested Reading” tab on my website. The list is far from complete, but I could probably go on for days. (Disclaimer: For most of these, I’ve fallen behind in the series and haven’t read all the books. I’ve been busy. 😎)
Please feel free to comment and add your favorites to the list!
(Remember to mark posts containing spoilers with **SPOILER** before the rest of the comment.)

Posted at 03:32h, 15 AprilI love the KDT series. And I am willing to give you time. But I can’t wait much longer!! Please make the series at least 2 more books long. Also I read schooled in magic. It would be a dream if you made that many books of KDT. 🙂

Posted at 16:33h, 11 AprilI just checked out your ‘ Suggested Reading’ list, looking for some new series to read and nodding at the entries I also love…. then I lost it when I read ‘Books by Brandon Sanderson’. Not a specific series, just ‘Books’. And I must say I wholeheartedly agree. Well played sir.

Posted at 00:18h, 01 AprilHey Kel Kade. I’m eagerly awaiting your third novel. It seems that if you have a hit a snag in reworking the story. You should not feel pressured into trying to complete it quickly. I think your readership would prefer you take the time you believe you need. That said, even updates consisting of only a single statement that you are alive and well would be greatly appreciated.
As for Series recommendations, I want to go old school with the “Death Gate Cycle” by Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman. That series is what got me into fantasy when I was younger in the early 2000’s.

Posted at 15:09h, 28 MarchFirst, I really enjoyed reading the first two KDT books. Very much looking forward to book three. I eagerly await the third book. I am very good at waiting for new books. I starting reading the Wheel of Time series in the early 90’s, I was happy to see it completed.
My recommendation for a book series to look into while waiting: The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne. While I normally enjoy reading the books, I loved the audio books for this series.

Posted at 03:23h, 29 MarchThanks for the encouragement. I appreciate your patience. I don’t think I’ve read that one yet, but some day when I get a chance to actually read books again, I’ll have to check it out.
