KDT Book 4

Posted at 14:13h, 28 SeptemberI am a KDT fan, what I love about it is there is no repetition in the writing and the character of the protagonist is steady unlike in other books. I have enjoyed the previous 3 books and waiting for the audiobook release of the 4th one. I have only one complain, as per the story, the protagonist is so handsome that girls fawn over him, now my question is- from which angle the guy in the cover looks handsome? I am sorry but after listening the story, such an ugly face in the cover doesn’t sit well with me. I am quite sure, had I not listened the story earlier, looking at the cover I wouldn’t have been interested in the series. Hope they will make the cover face more handsome in the next book.

Posted at 13:44h, 26 SeptemberIt’s not just you. My characters are not one-dimensional. They’ve just lost everything–their homes, their possessions, their families and friends, their stations in life, all their plans for the future–and people have died. Not only that, but they’re scared and wholly dependant on this mysterious man they barely know. While some writers may maintain the status quo for their characters, mine are “real” people who are strongly affected by events and the trials they face.

Posted at 22:31h, 23 SeptemberI am excited to find that for the second week in a row Amazon lists “Kingdoms and Chaos” as a best seller. This makes it equally hard to read some of the Amazon comments. This is what I liked about Book 4 – (1) Tam has his own story, (2) Malcius is growing and Ysseri is helping him along, (3) Frisha has also grown and is making wiser decisions about what she wants in a love interest, and (4) I knew it!!! Rez is only part human. In fact, he has died many times. I also believe Rez is part Fae and this is what makes it so easy for him to communicate with the Ahn. What I didn’t like – (1) wrangling with the publishing editor’s use of auto-spellchecker. They could do better. (2) I distinctly remember a description of Rez in Book 4 having dark hair. Yet, he’s a Blonde on the cover. (3) Did Rez lose his innocence in Book 4? I think he did. Kel Kade, you just bowled over it! Don’t get me wrong, I dropped the book and laughed out loud. But, I like the story because Rez is maturing and embracing life as an “outworlder.” Getting whelps and teeth marks isn’t something I think poor Rez expected or responded to well to on his wedding night. Was this intentional? Is poor Rez supposed to develop “hang-ups?” I’m just saying…

Posted at 05:04h, 19 SeptemberKel Brilliant work as always I love your writing. I cant understand why you would torture me by ending the book there….. but I’m hoping the next book doesn’t take too long cause I won’t survive not knowing what happens next.
*spoilers*
I’m in no way telling you how to write your book but as a fan please be done with Frisha she’s succeed in hurting Rezkin way too much and Poor Tam I hope Rez gets too rescue him in time. Also not sure how I feel about Tieran and Frisha romance, but I’m totally shipping Yserria and Malcius.
Once again loved this installment and Hope the next boo I’m comes out soon!!!!
