October Update 2016

October Update 2016

When is Book 3 coming out? That is the question. Everyone wants to know. If they don’t, then you haven’t convinced them to read KDT yet. That’s my hope anyway, because the alternative is sad.

Here is the news:

  • I am pushing hard for a December release of Book 3. We’ll keep our fingers crossed.  If for some terrible reason I don’t make the deadline, please don’t throw cabbages at me. It will come soon after. (No, we will not be waiting for years wondering if the author was sucked into an alternative universe.)
  • The Free the Darkness (KDT Book 1) audiobook made Best Seller in Audible’s SciFi & Fantasy and has already received over a thousand ratings! Click here to find it on Audible.com.
  • The Reign of Madness (KDT Book 2) audiobook was released on October 4th. On the first day, it ranked #12 Best Seller across ALL titles on Audible! Thank you, listeners! Click here to find it on Audible.com.

As always, I enjoy hearing from you guys! Keep reading and listening!

After finishing the first 2 books in the Kingkiller Chronicles series i was in despair, i then found KDT by pure accident and i am now hard pressed to say which of the two series i like the most.
I will preorder audiobook 3 as soon as it is available.

Huge fan of the book and especially the audiobooks! I purchased the second audiobook as soon as it was out. Will the third books audio version follow closely?

I’m very glad you’re enjoying the series. I expect the audiobook to follow within a few months of e-book release. I will keep you updated.

I’ll be checking Audible with interest to pre-order. I’m so sad I have finished book 2. Love your books so far. The characters and progression is some of my favorite in recent memory and I’m a Audible addict. Have you announced how many books will be in the series?

I’m glad to hear book 3 is coming out soon. Have you ever read Vickor Frenkels book man’s search for meaning? He was a psychologist in the Nazi prison camps during we 2. I read that book shortly before I picked up KDT so that’s the aspect of the books I really enjoyed. The adventure is great too. Take care and keep writing. Rose

It was something I actually looked forward to this morning was hitting the download button and waiting a moment for it to buffer a bit before hitting the road to work. I’m still on the part in the beginning that I already heard which was free at the end of the audible book one but i’m excited for lunch to go into territory that I don’t know. 🙂

In a earlier blog post you mentioned that you were writing a side tale of one of the main characters at the same time. I’m guessing that got put on hold?

Yes, I’ll get back to that as soon as I get this one out. 🙂

I read Free the Darkness and Reign of Madness one after the other, and now I can hardly wait for book 3. I am completely invested in the characters and really like the storyline. Keep it going. You’ve got me hooked.
