Suggested Reading

Readers often ask me for reading suggestions or about books that are like KDT, so I have put together a list of books you might enjoy. The list is far from complete, but I could probably go on for days. For most of these, I’ve fallen behind in the series and haven’t read all the books. I’ve been busy. 😃

Please feel free to comment and add your favorites to the list!

Hi! Your books are my favorite books. My favorite series is probably KDT. Can you please try to get that book out faster? If not, can you try to get the books able for purchase in person, not just eBooks?

    Thanks!!!

I just finished book four of KDT on audible and i must say, that was awesome. love the characters, the story, love the ideals in it, just everything. when book 5 is available, purchasing it will be my primary purpose in life. I was gasping at everything at the end. i hope this year will be easier on you and that you enjoy writing your story. thank you again for another great book.

I just did a full re-read of KDT – a great way to get my mind off of this absolutely crap time, so thank you! I’m waiting a week to start your new series as KDT is too fresh in my mind at the moment. I will make my way through some of the suggested readings here while I wait for book 5. I can’t wait!! It’s so difficult to find a good read nowadays. I wish Amazon would make a separate category for the romance that has infiltrated fantasy/sci-fi. Love, love, love KDT, but I have to say the editing in the later books, at least on Kindle, could have been better. KDT is definitely one of those series that will be re-read over and over again. Mary Stewart’s The Arthurian Saga was one of my favorites in early high school, as well as Anne Mc Caffrey’s Harper Hall trilogy and Dragonriders of Pern. The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson were also a favorite. I wish I had saved all of my old books!

    Hi Kel,
    You are an amazing writer!
KDT is now officially one of the top all-time fantasy series for me, alongside Riyria Revelations, The Stormlight Archive and Wheel of Time.
I listened to it in Audiobook and I can also say that Nick Podehl’s narration is nothing short of an Oscar (or whatever they have for audiobooks).
Like everyone here, I’m longing to listen to the continuation of the story but I understand that an author needs creative variety as well, so I’ll not complain. I’ll just wait eagerly 🙂
I love the light and engaging feel of your stories, the way you develop your characters, and the positive character lessons.
I’ll put your new series on my listening pipeline but will go for an existing finished series before as I feel I need some closure.
Thank you for this list of recommendations. I’ll probably go for The Society of the Sword or Night Angel and see how it goes.
    Cheers!
