Suggested Reading

Readers often ask me for reading suggestions or about books that are like KDT, so I have put together a list of books you might enjoy. The list is far from complete, but I could probably go on for days. For most of these, I’ve fallen behind in the series and haven’t read all the books. I’ve been busy. 😃

Please feel free to comment and add your favorites to the list!

I can only assume that you are a fan of Micheal J Sullivan. I noticed that in the books use use the sir name Black water and one of the inns in the 2nd book is the Rose and Thorn. Is this the case or happenstance?

I also noticed it’s the first series listed on this list.

All these book recs are making me excited!!! If anyone’s looking for a good series to read after KDT try R.K. Lander’s Silvan series, which starts with “Path of a Novice.” It’s got the usual fantasy tropes (1st book is very predictable tbh), but like KDT, it’s great escapism/wish fulfillment, and it’s a good series to binge on audio.

Are you still working on Book 5? I love listening to KDT performance of Nick Podel. It is my favorite book series by far. I just finished listing to all for for the 4th time. Book 5 has been in editing since I first listened to the series. Are you done with KDT? I would love the books to be movies.
