Suggested Reading

Readers often ask me for reading suggestions or about books that are like KDT, so I have put together a list of books you might enjoy. The list is far from complete, but I could probably go on for days. For most of these, I’ve fallen behind in the series and haven’t read all the books. I’ve been busy. 😃

    As I finish book 1, and am starting book 2, I cannot find where to leave a review but continue to search as this series deserves a high 5, for sure. As I have begun following I found your homepage and am grateful for the recommendations herein. Another great series, Whispers of War duology, just released book 2, by Sean Rodden. Superb, I place his books along with the LOTR, Tales of Mazetan (this series is only for the truly devout Military Fantasy fan), among all those listed above and would add the series by Elspeth Cooper who has denied her following of The Wild Hunt a conclusion for too long , ( totally unacceptable unless crisis has occurred, lots of tender spent for an incomplete tale of worth), and I do not see mention of Dennis L McKiernans Tales of Mithgar, but I rank this series highly as full of ingenuity and a great tale needing to be told. Thank you for the invitation to your site, and appreciate fellow readers suggestions.

    If you want a really great series to listen to I would have to agree Robin Hobb’s series (all 9 books) surrounding Fitz. Simply amazing. Probably the best complete series I’ve listened to so far. Still waiting for other authors to finish other series but I think hers will still be one of my favorites of all time.

    Someone mentioned Jorundyrs Path by Duncan Hamilton, I wasn’t sure if you realized that was a trilogy that starts with Wolf of the North. All three books are great.

    Great list!
    Anthony Ryan is publishing an new series called the Draconis Memoria which is a must read in my opinion.

    Can’t wait for the next KDT audio book!

    Just finished KDT and was struggling to find a new book so thanks for the list!! Also to other readers I thoroughly reccommend ‘Jorundyrs Path’ by Duncan M. Hamilton (the authors mentioned on Kade’s list)
